Last weekend took us up to Edinburgh to document the wedding of Jill & Luke at the stunning Carlowrie Castle. This was the second time we have had the honour of shooting a wedding at this exquisite castle wedding venue in Scotland.
After a day to ourselves being tourists in Edinburgh, the wedding took place on Monday (January 30th being an important date to the couple, they wanted to marry on this very date). We were extremely lucky with the weather, arriving in the morning at Carlowrie to find it prettily covered in mist and frost. And when it came to the time for bride and groom portraits, the mist had lifted and the sun was shining just before dusk descended.
Jill looked amazing and effortlessly elegant in her fitted lace Suzanne Neville gown from Ellie Sanderson (who helped greatly with the bespoke aspect to the detachable train) and Luke was super smart in black tie (I just love a black tie wedding) as were his groomsmen. The glamorous bridesmaids wore gold sequinned gowns making the whole affair so stylish and elegant with an old Hollywood feel to the day.
A real romantic, Jill just loves the magic of Hollywood and Disney. This was evident in the table escorts which featured silhouette portraits of a Disney princess and her prince in gold frames which looked beautiful in the light and airy Orangery with florals of delicate gypsophilia.
Here are just a few of my favourites that I have selected before editing the rest of the images from their beautiful day.
Congratulations Jill & Luke! It was a fantastic day, thank you so much for having us there to document it for you :-) Enjoy your time in LA!
