Although I'm a Cheshire based wedding photographer, I do travel and cover the whole of the UK. The wedding of Paul & Sara took me to the picturesque town of Ripponden, West Yorkshire at the Fleece Countryside Inn.
The day was beautiful with glorious weather. I enjoyed the time with Sara and her family and bridesmaids for the bridal preparations. Each time I do this, I feel the bride's nerves and excitement begin as the time to leave for the ceremony approaches. There was a very emotional part of the morning when Sara's mother gave her a gift with a letter. It was a medal belonging to her grandfather...
The church ceremony was lovely and I don't think I've ever seen a father look as proud. After the ceremony we had the opportunity for some portrait images of the bride and groom within the grounds of the church. Then it was on to the reception which was beautifully decorated with pale pink roses, twinkling candelabra and tea lights. The favours were little pots of honey - the honey supplied by the best man (and the groom's brother) who happens to keep bees!
We even managed to get outside for a few more portrait shots before the dancing began - although surrounded by fields, we were not allowed to enter them as they are not property of the Fleece Inn, but we just managed to capture the light before the sun set behind the inn.
Here are some of my favourite images - thank you Mr & Mrs McNamee for having me document your beautiful day.
