Finally I have found the time to blog some more images from Kirsty & Carl's Surrey Barn Wedding. From meeting them for the first time in person at their engagement shoot in Cheshire I knew it was going to be a lot of fun.
The bridal preparations took place at Ghyll Manor in Rusper, West Sussex, and the ceremony was at the lovely Horsham Registry Office in Surrey. The celebrations then took place with a hog roast at Old Greens Barn in Surrey - reputedly one of the oldest barns in the county.
Highlights of the day for me (although the entire day was a blast from beginning to end!) were Kirsty's lovely friendship with her maid of honour, Hannah. We all need a Hannah :-) Kirsty's gorgeous necklace which belonged to her great grandmother, Carl's Hugo Boss suit and his attention to detail (check out the coordinating blue trouser belt), the choir singing as the bride & groom arrived for the reception which was a complete surprise, the homemade beer and homemade, handmade details and flowers by Kirsty's mom. And the love. The entire barn was full of it and all of Kirsty and Carl's friends and family so happy for them to be wed. Oh and let's not forget the weather. What was a wet and dark start to the day turned to sunshine during and after the ceremony and then to heavy rain storms and gale force winds and then sunshine again. The bride & groom were such good sports to come out after the heavy rain but still some strong winds for some portrait shots. Thank you for making me so welcome and having me part of your day. I enjoyed every minute!
