Old Greens Barn Wedding

On Saturday I photographed the wedding of Kirsty & Carl in Surrey.  As a Cheshire wedding photographer this was quite a way to travel but I was delighted to be asked to cover their wedding.  It was well worth the journey and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.  The weather certainly challenged us - gale force winds and torrential rainstorms with the odd few minutes of sunshine in between.  Kirsty and Carl were such great sports as we dashed outside in between rain showers for a few portraits.  Having captured the first dance, my day was done.  As I was about to leave the happy couple and their guests enjoy the rest of the celebrations I realised the rain had gone and the sun was just peeking over the horizon.  A last minute request for a photograph of Carl's old room mates with the bride and groom meant a chance of a last minute golden hour shot before the sun disappeared.

There is so much to talk about this wedding - all of it organised and put together by the bride and groom with a lot of help from family and friends -  but you'll have to wait for the main blog in a few weeks time!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hudson.  Have a fab time in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The phrase "The Happy Couple" really does jump to mind from this set. Like Susie, I like some of the small detailed stuff, but enjoyed all - again instantly recognisable as Jade's work.
