La Jolie Mariee ~ Sixties Bridal and boudoir inspiration at Iscoyd Park as featured on Love My Dress
Last week I was thrilled that the collaborative bridal boudoir shoot I was involved in at the stunning Iscoyd Park in Shropshire was featured on the UK wedding blog Love My Dress. The idea of the shoot came about when Emma at Coco Wedding Venues suggested a bridal boudoir shoot at the stunning Iscoyd Park - one of Coco's beautiful venues and where I am a recommended photographer. The concept grew from a boudoir shoot into a full bridal shoot with the lovely Kat from Katrina Otter Weddings & Events on board too.
So Emma and Kat were the creatives behind the shoot who styled it to perfection - "Sixties sex kitten for the modern vintage boudoir. Soft, undone Bardot-bunny with nude lace and blush-pink florals, all wrapped up in a romantic Parisienne bow." Iscoyd was the perfect backdrop for this. A beautiful Georgian mansion set in private 18th century parkland. The bridal suite even had amazing sixties style fabrics and the bathroom wallpaper was perfect for our look!
In the lead up to the shoot, we all contributed our ideas and had a clear brief for the look, feel and content of the shoot. Having worked on my own shoots before, it was good to be able to take more of a back seat when it came to the styling on the day, allowing more time for myself and photographer Beccy Goddard to focus on the actual photography. It was amazing to have Tamryn from Love My Dress there to see what happens during a shoot and Tamryn has some very lovely words to say about how we worked together (you can read the Love My Dress feature here).
Jo Adams was the hair and makeup artist behind the shoot. She did an amazing job of creating that sixties look. Selina Godsal, in-house florist at Iscoyd Park designed the florals which were just beautiful. Check out the car posy on our cute Figaro! Thanks so much to Roy Senior for coming to the rescue with Figgy! I have a new found love of Figaros now! The images of our bride in the car are some of my favourites.
And of course, a huge thank you to the Godsal's for making us all so welcome. Iscoyd Park is just a magical place that I never seem to want to have to leave.
Here are just some of my images from the shoot.
